Chapter 2 - Roast Mutton

"Roast Mutton" follows Bilbo and the dwarves at the beginning of their trip to the Lonely Mountain. This chapter also covers their adventure with fearsome trolls.

Bilbo wakes up to find his house empty. The camera weaves through the hallways of his house as though searching for someone, but except for a large pile of plates in the kitchen, everything seems to be back to normal. Bilbo sighs with relief. At that moment there is a knock at the door. Gandalf bursts in and hurries Bilbo along to the Green Dragon in where the dwarves are expecting him. Bilbo runs off in confusion, complaining about not having packed and about not having any pocket-handkerchiefs along with him.
When he gets to the Green Dragon he finds the dwarves there waiting for him with ponies. They have things already packed, but unfortunately no handkerchiefs. Upon his arrival they set off together on their adventure. Soon Gandalf arrives on a beautiful white horse and continues with them.
Next, follows a short traveling montage, showing them crossing over the Shire and through the Lone Lands until it becomes rainy. The weather is miserable. Even Oin & Gloin can't get a fire started. To make matters worse, Gandalf seems to have dissappeared. Soon, however, they see the light of a campfire ahead, and send Bilbo to investigate as his first "burglar" duty.
Bilbo gathers his courage and starts off for the fire, creeping along stealthily. The camera switches to a shot looking over his shoulder as he moves. As he gets closer we can make out giant shapes in the clearing. Bilbo makes a quick, silent move and hides behind a tree. The next moment we finally see what the shapes are. 3 giant trolls!
The camera zooms past Bilbo, towards the trolls who are sitting, talking, and eating mutton. Bilbo sneaks up just behind one unnoticed. He decides to try to steal one of their money purses so that he won't have to go back empty-handed. Unfortunately, one of the troll's hears him doing this and picks him up with a single sweep of his hand.
After not hearing from Bilbo, the dwarves start entering the clearing one-by-one. As the trolls see them coming they drop Bilbo and hide in the trees. When the first dwarf enters the clearing the camera closes in on him as he looks all around. Then, suddenly, a bag comes out of nowhere and scoops the dwarf right up. The trolls do this to every dwarf until only Thorin is left. When he enters he puts up quite a fight, but in the end he is captured along with the rest.
Now Bilbo is powerless, frozen still, and stuck in a thorn bush. The trolls have all of the dwarves and are discussing how to cook them. However, each time they settle on a way to do it, a voice, which seems to be one of the trolls, starts them arguing all over again. Their arguing goes on for so long that the sun comes up and they are all frozen to stone.
After this, a rustling is heard at the edge of the clearing. The camera starts moving toward the noise, then, out comes Gandalf. He has been magically throwing his voice to make the trolls keep arguing. Once all of the dwarves have been rescued, the party follows some tracks to a cave. There they find treasure and powerful elven swords. They leave the treasure hidden but take the swords.

-Notes-
OK, so we've seen a cave troll in the Fellowship of the Ring, but these will have to be different but not too different. The skin texture and general body layout can stay, but the face will have to be altered to be more speech-accomadating.
