Hobbit Cast - Bilbo

Bilbo is the protagonist of The Hobbit. He starts out a fairly normal hobbit with no great desire for adventure. All of that changes one day when the wizard Gandalf and 13 dwarves show up at his door. The dwarves are planning an adventure to the Red Mountain to recover the enormous treasure guarded by the evil dragon Smaug. Though he is not in full favor of the idea,despite himself, Bilbo desides to go along as the crew's "expert burglar."
During the trip, Bilbo finds "the ring of power" and escapes with it after winning a riddle contest with the creature Gollum. After many adventures and close-calls Bilbo and the dwarves recover the treasure, and Bilbo returns home a very wealthy hobbit.

In the original LOTR films, Bilbo was played by Ian Holm.
